  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 cup yellow onion, chopped

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread cubed bread on a baking sheet and toast for about 10 minutes until slightly golden.
  2. 2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add onions and celery; sauté until soft (about 5 minutes). Stir in sage and thyme for the last minute.
  3. 3. In a large bowl, combine toasted bread with sautéed vegetables. Gradually add chicken broth, mixing until evenly moistened.
  4. 4. Transfer stuffing to a greased baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10 minutes until golden brown.
