  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water and active dry yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil; stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover it, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Gently punch down the risen dough, then transfer to an oiled baking sheet. Spread to about half an inch thick and dimple the surface with your fingers.
  6. Cover again and let rise for another 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 425°F (220°C).
