For the Protein:

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1 lb steak (flank or sirloin), thinly sliced

  • 2 tbsp olive oil, divided

For the Seasoning:

  • 1 tbsp chili powder

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp ground cumin

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Toppings:

  • 8 small taco shells (corn or flour)

  • 1 cup shredded lettuce

  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes

  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

  • 1 lime, cut into wedges

  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (optional)


Instructions

  1. Season the Proteins
    In a small bowl, combine chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Toss shrimp and steak with the seasoning until well coated.

  2. Cook the Shrimp
    Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook 2–3 minutes per side, or until pink and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. Sear the Steak
    In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil. Sear steak slices for 4–5 minutes or until browned and cooked to your liking. Set aside.

  4. Warm the Taco Shells
    Heat taco shells in a pan or microwave until warm and pliable.

  5. Assemble the Tacos
    Fill each shell with shrimp and steak, then layer with lettuce, tomatoes, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime.

  6. Top and Serve
    Drizzle with sour cream or Greek yogurt, and a dash of hot sauce if you like it spicy. Serve immediately and enjoy!
