  • 1 cup buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the eggs, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth. Combine with the dry ingredients and stir gently until just mixed.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips carefully.
  5. Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full with batter and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Allow cooling in the pan for five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
