  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup fresh or dried cranberries
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle yeast on top and let it froth for about 5 minutes.
  2. Add melted butter, eggs, flour, and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area for about 60 minutes or until doubled.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread butter, sprinkle sugar mixed with orange zest, and add cranberries.
  6. Roll tightly, slice into rolls, and place in a greased baking dish. Let rise again for about 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Drizzle with icing before serving.
