  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers (red or green)
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve some pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Add shrimp and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Cook until shrimp are pink and opaque (3-4 minutes per side).
  3. Stir in diced bell peppers and sauté for another minute until slightly softened.
  4. Pour in heavy cream, stirring gently. Simmer for about five minutes until thickened, then mix in grated Parmesan cheese until melted.
  5. Add drained pasta to the skillet, mixing well with the sauce. Use reserved pasta water if needed to achieve desired consistency.
  6. Plate the pasta and garnish with extra Parmesan and paprika if desired.
