Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2¼ tsp) active dry yeast
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup milk (warm, about 110°F)
  • 2 large apples (peeled and thinly sliced)
  • ½ cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit until frothy. Mix in sugar, melted butter, and salt, then gradually add flour to form a soft dough.
  2. Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for about an hour until doubled in size.
  3. Roll out the dough to a rectangle (¼-inch thick). Spread softened butter on top. Sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar evenly over the dough and add apple slices.
  4. Roll tightly into a log and cut into equal pieces. Arrange in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  6. While cooling, whisk powdered sugar with milk for glaze and drizzle over rolls. Serve warm.
