  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil (plus more for drizzling)
  • 2 tsp sea salt
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary (or thyme)

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast: In a bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Mix ingredients: In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil; stir until shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough: Turn onto a floured surface and knead for about 8 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let it rise: Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area until doubled (about 1 hour).
  5. Shape your focaccia: Punch down dough gently, transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet, and stretch into shape. Make dimples with fingers.
