  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp fresh oregano (or 1 tsp dried)
  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 pita breads or burger buns
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • ½ medium cucumber, grated and drained
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine chicken breasts, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and feta cheese. Pulse until well mixed but still chunky.
  2. Shape the mixture into approximately six patties.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat; lightly oil the surface.
  4. Cook each patty for about 5 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of at least 165°F (75°C).
  5. While cooking, prepare the tzatziki by mixing Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing each patty in pita or on buns topped with tzatziki sauce.
