  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup ketchup (for sauce)
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar (for sauce)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté chopped onions and minced garlic until softened, about 5 minutes. Let cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, sautéed onions and garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix gently but thoroughly.
  4. Shape the mixture into mini loaves or one large loaf in the baking dish.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup and brown sugar; spread half over the meatloaves.
  6. Bake for about 30-35 minutes until an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) is reached. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
