  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (1.5 lbs)
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 medium sweet onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your choice)
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Spray a large baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper and place them in the baking dish.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onions and garlic in olive oil until soft.
  4. In a bowl, mix BBQ sauce with smoked paprika and cayenne, then pour over the chicken.
  5. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30-40 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. Allow to cool slightly before shredding the chicken using two forks. Serve on buns with extra sauce.
