  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix pumpkin puree, eggs, oil, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Combine the wet mixture with the dry ingredients and gently fold until just mixed; avoid overmixing.
  5. If using nuts, fold them in now.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool slightly before slicing.
