Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 fresh baguette
  • 8 oz sirloin steak
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (divided)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ½ cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp balsamic glaze

Instructions

  1. Season the sirloin steak with salt and pepper. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 4-5 minutes per side until it reaches your desired doneness. Let it rest before slicing.
  2. Slice the baguette diagonally into half-inch thick pieces. Brush both sides with remaining olive oil and toast at 400°F until golden brown.
  3. In a small bowl, mix minced garlic with olive oil; spread on each toasted baguette slice.
  4. Thinly slice the rested steak against the grain. On each slice of bread, layer sliced steak, halved cherry tomatoes, and basil leaves.
  5. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and serve immediately.
