Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup ground turkey
  • 1 cup ground pork
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped (or 1 tsp dried)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Sauté the chopped onion and celery until soft—approximately 5 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, combine breadcrumbs, ground turkey, ground pork, sautéed vegetables, parsley, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Roll the mixture into balls (about 2 tablespoons each) and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Meanwhile, melt the remaining butter in a saucepan over low heat; add chicken broth and simmer for sauce.
  7. Serve warm with sauce drizzled over the top.
