  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 medium green cabbage, shredded (about 4 cups)
  • 2 medium carrots, julienned
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • Optional: chili flakes to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish if using the oven.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Optionally massage for tenderness.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and chili flakes.
  4. Grill or bake chicken for 20-25 minutes until cooked through (165°F/75°C internal temp), brushing with sauce halfway.
  5. While chicken cooks, slice cabbage and julienne carrots; combine in a large bowl.
