Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture, alternating with milk. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Fill liners two-thirds full and bake for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
  6. For the frosting, beat butter until creamy; gradually add powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until desired consistency is reached.
  7. Frost cooled cupcakes as desired.
